Texas Instruments introduces a 3.2-W, mono Class-D audio amp with an integrated digital-to-analog converter noise filter that reduces codec noise. The TPA2011D1’s integrated noise filter could eliminate the need for an external filter on the inputs, reducing component count and cost. The Class-D amplifier’s 1.2 x 1.2 mm package size saves space for designers who are looking for 0.4-mm pitch for next-generation mobile phones and portable media players.
The TPA2011D1 provides1.5-mA quiescent current resulting in 50 percent lower power than other amplifiers for higher battery efficiency and improved battery life.
